Kodiak Drewry’s love of the outdoors began on a backpacking trip with Catherine Cadden’s TEMBA school when he was 12 years old. He also participated in Marin County’s TEAM program, spending most of his High School junior year backpacking. Kodi spent two years at Colorado Mountain College studying Outdoor Recreation. He completed a BA in Recreation Administration at Humboldt State University last year. He is a Wilderness First Responder, Ropes Course Facilitator, Mountain Bike, Kayaking, Rock Climbing and Surfing instructor. Kodi has been leading back packing trips into the wilderness for the last two years as part of Humboldt State’s Center Activities. Last year he started Kiteboarding and is currently developing a kiteboarding school for LivetoKite in Marin County. Kodi also completed NOL’s Semester, spending 3 months in the mountains and rivers of New Zealand, where the team was immersed in deep wilderness camping, whitewater canoeing, and sea kayaking and participated in a mountain evacuation. Kodi is also an avid videographer and photographer and has created several outdoor productions. Kodiak’s enthusiasm, genuine love of adventure and the outdoors, makes nature his classroom.
